The PTA President leads the officers to keep the PTA running smoothly and presides over meetings. The President is the project manager of the PTA, ensuring the programming is carried out as planned.
Serve as the successor to the current president, preparing to assume leadership responsibilities. Work closely with the president, gaining insight into the role's duties and assisting with organizational tasks, ensuring a smooth transition when you assume the presidency. No previous PTA experience required.

Responsible for managing the organization's finances. This includes keeping accurate records of income and expenses, creating and monitoring budgets, and ensuring financial transparency.
Record the minutes at the PTA meetings. Follow up on action items that arise during PTA meetings.
Recruit, organize, and manage volunteers for PTA events and activities. This role collaborates with teachers, staff, and PTA members to ensure adequate support, maintains a volunteer database, and communicates volunteer opportunities within the school.
Design and distribute PTA communications. Your main goal is to keep the PB community informed about all PTA news, events, and updates, ensuring everyone stays connected and up-to-date.
BPFAC is a collaboration between parents from each of Bloomington's schools, School Board, teachers, principals and the superintendent. BPFAC meets monthly. This is a unique way to get the inside scoop on what's going on within our district.
Our BPFAC representative attends the BPFAC meetings as a representative for the Poplar Bridge PTA, takes notes, and shares back with the PTA what was discussed.
